Hong Kong government drops age of consent

Gays in Hong Kong no longer need fear a lifetime of imprisonment if they engage in homosexual activity before the age of 21. The government has dropped its challenge in lowering age-of-consent for Gay sex from 21 to 16 years. Courts had ruled the age disparity to be unconstitutional. Homosexual activity was decriminalized in Hong Kong in 1991.
