Anti-gay group protests at McDonald's

by PageOneQ

Using the words of the late Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. to bolster their case, consumers opposed to support of the National Lesbian and Gay Chamber of Commerce by fast food giant McDonald's protested yesterday outside one of its restaurants in Citrus Heights, California.

Holding signs imploring Christians to boycott the popular chain, the demonstrators were told by a staffer at the location that they would e-mail the corporate headquarters with their concerns. "The Christians agreed to write a letter that McDonald's would forward also," reported the conservative site WorldNetDaily.

McDonald's, often referred to as Mickey D's or, among society's upper crust, Chez Donald, with revenue in excess of $22 billion per year, did not issue a statement regarding the financial impact of the protest by "several" Christians.
