Nick Langewis The men's restroom in question became famous when it was discovered that on June 11, 2007, Senator Larry Craig (R-ID), a continued opponent of equal marriage rights and "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" supporter, had been arrested there by an undercover police officer under suspicion of "lewd conduct." Senator Craig ultimately pled guilty to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge on August 8, 2007. The "cream of the Republican Party," said Daily Show correspondent John Oliver, are meeting at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport not due to any particular election strategy or political ideology. They are there for "the clandestine gay sex."
