Nick Cargo Megachurch pastor Rick Warren, President-elect Obama's controversial pick to deliver the invocation on Inauguration Day, suggested to NBC's Ann Curry in a Dateline interview due to air Friday that same-sex inclinations need to be "reined in" regardless of their biological basis. It's a matter of "maturity," he said. "We all have biological predispositions," Warren said, shifting his response from one to a question about the biological basis of homosexuality to one addressing tendencies towards promiscuity. "I've had many gay friends tell me," he explained while touching his face and repeatedly breaking eye contact, "'Well, Rick, why shouldn't I have multiple sexual partners? It's the natural thing to do.' Well, just because it seems natural doesn't mean it's best for you or society. I'm naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful woman I see, but that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do." In the following video clip, Warren sees same-sex attractions in the same light he does a predisposition to anger or shyness. In past exchanges he has put same-sex relationships on par with incest, polygamy and pedophilia to justify his stance against marriage equality.
