Stewart: Without 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Army would go 'all gay'

by PageOneQ

Comedian Jon Stewart mocked Center for Military Readiness spokesperson Elaine Donnelly, among others, over her July 24 testimony to Congress opposing the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," which prohibits gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military.

The military "can't handle the truth," Stewart quipped. Also noted, as if Donnelly's speech on its own wasn't enough to "mystify" at least one member of the Congressional panel, "even her blouse is mocking her anti-gay stance."

The segment below was aired on Comedy Central on July 28, 2008.
